DC’s television series on CW network had a decent run this year with The Flash trying to improve on the lackluster Season 3 and Arrow also trying to make ends meet. But one show that stood out in the DC TV universe is new entrant Black Lightning which gave fans of DC universe a show they are proud of and looks forward to shortly. Currently Black Lightning is not the part of Arrowverse and but that hasn’t stopped fans from expecting a crossover event that brings all of these superheroes under one roof. The crossover events have always remained the high point for all.these series. Now even the stars of The Flash are wishing the same and adding their views to it they confirmed there is a slight possibility of it happening soon.
During the ongoing MCM comic con the stars of The Flash series, Jessica Parker Kennedy (Nora Allen) and Danielle Nicolet (Cecile Horton) told Express.co.uk that there are more crossovers planned in the future and that might include Black Lightning joining the action. As per Kennedy’s remarks “I think crossovers are the coolest, The very first episode I did was a crossover, and it was awesome, and everyone was there, and everyone was in a good mood. I feel like it’s so fun to do that.”
Nicolet also added that “I was excited to pop over to Supergirl for five seconds last season and I don’t think I’m spoiling anything to say there are going to be more crossovers this next season.” Earlier Arrow actor Stephen Amell even announced at the CW upfront presentation that Batwoman would be making her appearance in the Arrowverse during the next season’s crossover event. Whereas talking about the Black Lightning, Nicolet assured that there are possibilities of crossover. She further added that “Regarding Black Lightning, just to say, I love it, and I have a very public and undeniable crush on Jill Scott, so if any of the writers are listening right now, guys I’m just saying it would be fun.”
Apart from the bringing the relevant story for the crossover event, other challenges make it a difficult task. Black Lightning shoots in different as compared to Arrowverse which makes it very difficult for the crossover event. Nicolet commenting on this said that “But for me, it’s challenging when we’re shooting, and it’s challenging for crossovers to happen because not all the shows even shoot in the same city,But the idea that different shows on the same network pop over to one another — the traditional TV lame word of synergy, I feel like the only time synergy has legit worked is on The CW in the DC universe and I think it’s cool for fans and it’s cool for us to do it. I love that the network makes it happen because it’s no small feat.”
With cast backing the crossover event with Black Lightning who knows we may get it in the coming fall when Black Lightning and The Flash for their subsequent seasons.
