The first Captain Marvel Trailer is out on the internet and it looks epic. The trailer looks awesome and it reveals some things which we didn’t know earlier. Captain Marvel was in talks just after the release of Avengers: Infinity War. The end credits scene of the movie showed Nick Fury messaging via a pager before he became dust. Before the scene ended we got to see the Captain Marvel Trademark Logo. It proves that Captain Marvel is going to be a big part of the upcoming Avengers 4. In the following Article, we present you the Captain Marvel Trailer Breakdown and Easter Eggs that you may have missed.
Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly covered a big portion which disclosed the first look of different characters in the movie. It includes Carol Danvers(Brie Larson) in her official costume of Captain Marvel. It also showed various details about the Captain Marvel villain, nick fury’s young look, the first look at the Skrulls with Talos. It also showed Danvers as a part of a Starforce and also confirmed that the movie is not going to be the traditional origin story. It also marked the return of Ronan the Accuser who was introduced in The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1.
Introduction to Carol Danvers
In the trailer, the return of Danvers to the Earth is marked in which she falls from the sky in the Blockbuster Video Store which confirms the year in which the movie is set up. i.e., in the ’90s. She seems like she’s tracking someone down which is why she is shown in the subway finding for someone or maybe figuring out where she is. This is because she doesn’t remember many things from his past but just have some glimpses. It includes the training in her childhood and the time in U.S. Army.
First Appearance of Skrull
After that, Danvers was shown in the Earthling’s clothes with a S.H.I.E.L.D. hat. Another scene showed Nick Fury with Agent Coulson(not clearly shown though) looking at a shapeshifting alien autopsy i.e., a Skrull’s corpse. It is officially the first appearance of a Skrull in the trailer. Later in the trailer, the Skrulls are also shown coming on to the beach.
Nick Fury Arrives
After that enters Nick Fury in a classic way. It discloses the first look at Young Nick Fury who is like the first ally Carol Danvers has at that time. He is shown with Danvers in a car asking, “So you are new here, huh?”. She replied that she can’t say for sure as she has some memories of her time on the Earth but can’t make it whole.
Hala-The Kree Homeworld
Then comes a glimpse of the Kree homeworld, Hala, first mentioned in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. We know from Captain Marvel‘s synopsis that Earth is caught in the middle of Kree-Skrulls War and that Carol Danvers isn’t entirely human.
This is because, in the comics, Danvers is shown getting her powers from Mar-Vell’s genetic structure. Moreover, she got her powers after the detonation of Psyche-Magnetron, making her Kree-human Hybrid. But we are not sure if this will be the case in the movie or not.
Kree Tech used on Carol Danvers
The questions arise when she is seen held captive or in control of a machine which seems to be like the Kree-tech is used to hold her captive. Another possibility is that it used to bring back her memory of past or maybe vice versa. It is yet to be revealed which will be interesting to hear.
Carol Danvers in his traditional Starforce suit
In the trailer, she is also shown in her official Starforce Suit with a helmet which let some of her hair out to give a mohawk-like hairstyle.
Carol Danvers punching an old lady in her face
Carol Danvers punching old lady in her face is not like it seems. The old lady is not innocent but a shapeshifting Skrull, which is why she is being punched by Carol.
Other events marked the return of Lee Pace’s Ronan the Accuser and Korath who were introduced in GOTG Vol. 1. Along with them, Agent Coulson is back in action.
In the end, she is shown in the traditional Captain Marvel suit powering up which looks freaking awesome due to the effects.
Looking at the trailer, it seems the movie is going to be interesting and may answer some things like loss of Nick Fury’s eye.
Captain Marvel will drop in the theatres on March 8th, 2019.
