How to control TV using Google Home or Home Mini
STEP 1 –
Before starting, first all download the Google Home application, available on Play store for Android and also on App Store. It can be downloaded for free of cost.

STEP 2 –
In this step, firstly say “OK Google, ask Harmony to link my account.” Open the Google Home application and at the top of the list you can find a card inviting you to link your Harmony account. Simply just tap on the Link to continue.
STEP 3 –
After opening the link, you can see the layout as shown below, in this choose your authentication method. Here you can log in using your Google account, email address or Facebook account and enter the details of the Harmony account. If you don’t have the Harmony account, make sure to create one before we go further.
STEP 4 –
After the above step, give permissions to Google, to access to your Logitech Harmony account; the screen should detail precisely which features Google will have access to the account. Read it over, then tap Authorize finally when you’re done
STEP 5 –
After the account has been setup, Logitech Harmony will create a list of activities that you can do with the voice command to Google Assistant, based on the devices connected to your Harmony account. Different names can be added for a specific room, for instance “TV Room” for your living room TV for a device by tapping the Add Friendly Name button next to the activity. If you don’t want to use Google Home with a specific activity, just deselect the checkbox next to that activity. Tap the right-facing arrow in the top right corner, when you are done.
STEP 6 –
One more amazing feature that can be done is that Google Home can ask you for specific TV stations by voice. It can be setup easily, for this you’ll need to create a configured favorite TV channels using your Harmony app. Here, you can give the channels custom names, such as CBS, FOX, PBS, and so on. To do this tap on Add Friendly Name. When you’re finished, tap the right-facing arrow in the top right corner finally. And then tap on Link Account, to complete the procedure.
STEP 7 –
After completing the above steps, you can try saying “OK Google, ask Harmony to turn on TV” to turn the TV ON. Harmony can be used to turn up or down the volume, skip forward or pause, go to certain channels, and, when you’re done, turn the TV off, all just by using the Ok Google voice commands.
