First way: via the Google Contacts app (Remove Duplicate Contacts )
This method will work on Google’s official contact app. Google’s contacts app should already be present on your Android phone. If your phone doesn’t have one then it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. But note that the Google Contact app is only available for Android Lollipop or above version. Duplicate contacts will be easily deleted through this app. For this, your phone must be connected to the Internet, because all of these contacts are saved in your Google Account.
Here are the Steps to Delete Duplicate Contacts by using Google’s Contact app :
First, open Google’s Contact app. If your phone does not have a Google contact app, you can download it from the Play Store.
If your Google Account is not in sync, then go to the add account and sync the account.
After syncing, all of your contacts will be visible. Now tap the three-line menu option at the top of the left side of the app.
In the menu that will appear tap on suggestions.
The merge duplicates option will appear in front of the top once you click on it. Click on it.
As soon as you click on the Merge duplicates option, a list of all duplicate contacts in your phone will appear to you.
You will now have two options. If you want to merge one contact, tap on the merge button below the contact. If you do not want to merge any contact, then dismiss it. But if you want to merge all the duplicate contacts in your phone, then click ‘Merge All’ in the top right corner. After this duplicate contact will be merged.
Second way: by logging into the Google Account on the computer
If the Android version of your mobile is below the Lollipop, then you will not be able to install Google’s contact app in it. In such a situation, this method will prove to be effective for you. By following the steps described below, you will be able to easily delete all duplicate contacts.

First, go to the browser and search for Google contact.

Google will ask you to sign in when the Google Contact page opens.
Now log in with your Gmail ID and password.
After logging in, Google contact will open, in which all your contacts will be visible. The number of duplicates will appear on the third page from the left side in the page. Click on it.
Now a new page will open, which will contain all your duplicate contacts. Now merge them all by clicking either one by one or clicking ‘Merge All’ together.
