The story will pick up from where it was left in season 4. The Comic Con trailer showed the fans that how their superheroes would be affected by Nora’s presence. Nora tells that she is a superhero named ‘XS’. Barry struggles to decide what to do with Nora. The trailer also reveals about Nora a bit more. Even though Barry has a daughter named Dawn in comics, Nora is introduced as an original character.
The villain of the season is revealed as Cicada. Back in May, it was revealed that the character would be a semi-immortal metahuman who can disable the abilities of other metahumans. Cicada’s motives and backstory are left ambiguous in the trailer, so it’s not clear how this character connects to Nora, or how Nora can be responsible for the villain’s existence.
