God of War 5 seems to be in work as Sony is hiring people familiar with God of War and next-gen console

  • It hasn’t been too long when God of War 2018 director Cory Barlog teased fans about God of War 5 or God of War 2018 sequel. In series of his tweets, every latter made up a made up one sentence… “RAGNAROK IS COMING ❤” which also teased via dynamic theme released on one year anniversary of the game.

It is no surprise that God of War 5 is happening as God of War 4 or 2018 ended with face to face confrontation of Thor and Kratos.

Now, job listing on Sony Santa Monica webpage has made fans sure that God of War 5 or God of war 2018 sequel was in the pipeline already.

The number of job listings on Sony Santa Monica career page that studio is recruiting for all sort of roles ranging from narrative implementation to combat design with some knowledge of next-gen console.

In several of the job posting-including, one for Senior Combat Designer the company has specially specified that candidates “must have knowledge of God of War (2018) and be able to speak in depth about the combat systems, mechanics and enemies”. For other job listings like for the role for a Facial Blend Shape Character Artist – the company has asked the aspirant candidates for prior experience about next-gen video game platform.

In listing for Designer role company is finding someone with “expertise in action games or action RPGs”. Undoubtedly, Sony Santa Monica is gearing up for the development of God of War 5 or God of War 2 or whatever is going to be called.

We can’t expect more from the God of War anytime soon as the studio hasn’t started production yet. Also, Sony has a lineup of current-gen games to release in a couple of years before coming to the next-gen console ‘s release
