Yesterday God Of War Series director Cory Barlog revealed a new trailer for the game. From the trailer, it is confirmed that it will release on will release on April 20th.

On the PlayStation Blog, director Cory Barlog said God Of War’s release date is my favorite released date of my entire career. He also said that:

“This has been a long journey just to reach this point so it is a little bittersweet to think that we are only a few months away from that journey finally coming to an end. While I am sad, I am also excited because it means everyone will get their hands on this crazy adventure we have been crafting for nearly five years!” ”

He also revealed the various editions and pre-order details of the game. The collector’s edition will cost $129.99 and includes a 9-inch statue of Kratos and Atreus, a cloth map and a Steel Bookcase. The digital deluxe edition will cost $69.99 which also includes the game, digital art books, and some other goods. The most costlier edition “The Stone Mason Edition” cost $149.9 which includes more physical goods than collector edition like a keychain and Stone Mason Ring.

God Of War will be very different from the previous titles. This time Kratos lives with his young son Atreus in the world of Norse gods. It is a savage land where many ferocious monsters and warriors live. In order to teach his son to survive  Kratos is training him and performing a role as a mentor. Both have to fight the brutal Norse wilds to fulfill their goal.

God Of War is a sequel to the God Of War 3 and will release on PlayStation 4 on 20th April 2018.
