Even it is Google’s second attempt to launch a specific services for podcast, back in 2012, Google launched Google Listen, services for podcasts, but that didn;t stand in the market, but this Google launched the new Google Podcasts after a lot of AI-homework, and the app not only looks great but works great. And now there is news suggesting that the Google Podcasts app is going to have a new smart feature, it’s the Google Podcasts Trim Silence feature.
The traces of this new Google Podcasts Trim Silence feature can be observed from the APK teardown of version 8.9 beta of the Google app, which suggests the feature may launch soon in the future updates of the Google Podcasts app. This feature can be accessed from the surface, straightforward, but the user can easily access this feature from the audio settings. And the good thing about this new feature is that it can be used at any time, means it will work whether you are streaming podcasts online or listening to the downloaded audios.
Google Podcasts Trim Silence feature
You might be wondering, how the new Trim Silence feature works. The new feature is basically a time-saving feature. For instance, if you are streaming a podcast, you will definitely find the casual pauses and the gaps. So, what this feature is, it shortens the length of the audio by eliminating those gaps and pauses completely. And it is amazing to see, how Google is about to use the Artificial Intelligence remedy in this new feature too.

While those who are already part of the beta-testing program for the Google app can already test out the new feature, version 8.9 of the app is expected to hit the stable channel in a few days’ time, so users who are not part of the program shouldn’t have to wait too long to get it on their devices.
