Stranger Things season 2 not only stood on every fan expectation but also exceeded them by quite a margin. Netflix’s production has worked for the streaming giant and became fan favourite from the season 1 itself. The main reason behind its runaway success is that it has a perfect blend of horror, comedy and action packaged in a beautiful nostalgic wrapper. The series reminded adults of their good old school days, and that nostalgic factor was enough to get them all hooked.
Now, with the unbeaten run of two seasons, Netflix is gearing up for season 3, and the streaming service gave a pleasant surprise on the weekend as it made some announcements. As per the reports by Variety, Maya Hawke will be joining the show as one of the leads, and streaming giant has upped Priah Ferguson to a recurring role.
Maya Hawke is a quite refreshing addition to the already fantastic series. She will be portraying the role of ‘alternative girl’ who is bored with her mundane day job. So, to add excitement to her life, she embarks on the journey to Hawkins and uncovers a dark secret. The best thing about the series is how each character has been developed and how their arc affects the whole storyline. Now, it will be interesting to see how will and by how much arc of Hawke will impact the story in upcoming season 3.
Ferguson appeared last season in the guest role as Erica, Lucas’s annoying yet cute, little sister. She stole the scenes with her dominant performance and is set to return for the next instalment with an army of her friends. Erica will find herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous new threat.
Duffer Brothers who created such a wonderful and engaging piece of art, are set to return as the executive producers and show-runners. The series is expected to come out in mid of 2019 and till then keep reading for latest updates on Stranger Things and other entertainment news.
