Motorola has dropped the price of the Moto G5S smartphone to Rs 9,999 in India. At the launch, the smartphone was priced at Rs 13,999. Motorola might have reduced the price of the smartphone seeing the competition at that price range as devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro, Honor 7x offers much more than Moto G5s and also the company is launching the successor of the G5s on April 19. But at Rs.9,999, the smartphone seems to be a great deal, especially for the stock Android lovers.
The reduced price is already effective across Moto Hubs, Amazon.in and other Retail stores in the country. The device will be available in three colors variants- Fine Gold, Lunar Grey and Oxford Blue.
Talking about the Moto G5s specifications, it features a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is applied on the top of the display to protect it. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The smartphone is still running on Android 7.1 Nougat but it might receive Android 8.0 Oreo update within a few months. It’s a dual-SIM device with connectivity options available are 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a micro USB port. Talking about the cameras it has a 16MegaPixel rear camera and a 5Megapixel front-facing camera.The device is backed up a 3000mAh battery with the support for Turbo Charge.The smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner on the front. At this price point, Moto G5s plus offers 4GB RAM which is only found on a few other devices.
