Moto Z3 launched with side mounted fingerprint sensor and 5G Support with Mod
After a plethora of leaks and rumours, the Moto Z3 is finally launched at an event held in Chicago. The smartphone has a Super AMOLED display and comes without the infamous Notch. The main highlights of the smartphone are its side mounted fingerprint sensor and support for the 5G technology via a Moto Mod which is still in development.

Moto Z3 specifications :
The smartphone sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone runs on the latest Android 8.1 oreo and you get the stock Android. Under the hood, the device is housed by an Octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.35GHz coupled with 4 GB of RAM and have 64 GB of internal storage.
In terms of optics, Z3 features a dual rear cameras system with a colour 12 Megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.25um pixels and a 12 MP monochrome sensor, and a dual-LED flash. For selfies, on the front, there is 8 Megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixels and have an 84-degree field-of-view.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery with support for the fast charging with traditional Moto’s TurboPower charger which is bundled inside the box. The phone is rated splash resistant.
The smartphone has power button on the left side while the fingerprint sensor sits on the right side of the phone. As far as the Connectivity is concerned, the phone includes 802.11 b/g/n/ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type C port for charging and data transfer. Sadly the 3.5mm headphone jack is not present, but thankfully a USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter is provided inside the box.
Moto 5G Mod :
The smartphone supports the Moto Mods and probably the last phone to have support for the Moto Mods. Once the 5G technology is available, which should be by next year, you’ll be able to purchase a 5G MotoMod that will enable the support for 5G on Moto Z3 as well as provide an extra 2,000 mAh battery to power that fast connection. Pricing for this mod will be announced later this year. However, the new 5G Moto Mod will work with all the smartphone that has support for the moto mods and not just with the z3, as the company said.

Talking about the pricing of the Moto Z3, the smartphone is priced at $480 ( Approximately Rs, 33,000) and will be available starting from August 16, exclusively on Verizon.
