Naseeruddin Shah is a prominent figure in Indian Cinema, an award-winning actor, stage actor and acclaimed director too. Shah is famed for super-hit films like Akrosh, Maqbool, A Wednesday, Iqbal and many more. Zee5 today released the motion poster of the series, Zero Kms and it corresponds with the International Missing Children’s Day.
Shah has folded his sleeves to make his debut in the digital world by signing in for a ZEE5 original web series, ZERO KMS which is directed by G****u famed Qaushik Mukherjee and set on the grounds of a hard-hitting issue which is Human trafficking and Flesh-Trade. Zero Kms is said to be a 12 webisode series and Naseeruddin Shah will be playing a fat part in the series along with Styadeep Mishra, Tanmay Dhananiya, Rupali Bhosale and Vaibhavi Upadhyay in the lead roles. The cast has worked really hard leaving no stone unturned and they have also taken special martial arts training and the series is said to be filmed in Goa. I remember a short film which also picked up the same issue of missing children but that was throwing them into prostitution and then they were rescued but the story base of Zero Kms is spine-chilling because human trafficking is scary but then trading their flesh is dreadful and even worse is to know that it’s a hidden dark truth of our society.
The other cast counts Arjun Shenoy, Shyam Shenoy, John Pinto, Sheila, Guru, Julius and Aalia. The storyline of Zero Kms gives voice to Arjun, who has been imprisoned for a long time, around a decade and is accused of the crime he didn’t commit but now is set free and all he knows is that unknowingly he is stuck in the human flesh-trafficking racket that threatens him to flip-flop his entire existence. The series is a struggle about him trying to overcome a machine of criminality.
Zero Kms is said to stream on Zee5 on 30th of this May.
