Gamefreak, Nintendo, and Creatures Inc., the owners of The Pokemon Company, have registered two new trademarks.
Both of these trademarks registration has been done in Japan. The first trademark is Mewtwo name but in the Japanese language. Earlier, “Armored Mewtwo” trademark was made, but this one is different and covers various kinds of merchandise which include cushions, pillows, cosmetics, and other items. It seems like it has been done for the promotions of the upcoming Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution movie.
The second trademark which is registered is (タッグオールスターズ ), and it translates to “Tag All-Stars”. This trademark will cover the trading cards and video games related to TCG rather than mainstream games.
Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution movie is scheduled for release in mid 2019.
Also, we will be treated with Detective Pikachu movie in May 2019 which includes live-action of many popular Pokemon characters.
