In another brilliant move by the HMD Global licensed mobile giant, Nokia announced on Twitter that it will bring Nokia Face Unlock to the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 and Nokia 6 (2018 version). This move comes right after many Smartphone big-wigs like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, etc. brought Face Unlock to their devices.
Why Nokia Face Unlock?
The best part about Nokia Face Unlock is that it is an OTA update, so no need to buy a new phone. In the past year, Face Unlock has emerged to be one of the most popular biometric security methods. Sure, the face scanning technology isn’t perfect yet. Some phones which rely on the front camera to do the job have difficulty in working in the dark. But it is really convenient. As the technology grows, the accuracy is growing rapidly. Just to play safe, Nokia has equipped its phones with a fingerprint scanner too.
HMD Global isn’t shy to bring technology to the people by making bold moves. Recently it announced the availability of Android P on ALL its recently released Nokia devices. It has already released the Beta for Nokia 7 Plus.
Nokia 8 Sirocco

Nokia 7 Plus is available at a price of about 23000 INR. It has a 6-inch FHD + screen.
The specs include Snapdragon 660, 4 GB ram and 64 GB internal storage. The phone has a 13 MP rear camera and a larger 16 MP front camera.

Nokia 6 is priced at 16500 INR. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 630 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It has a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera.
That about does it for today’s roundup. The news sure is exciting and we hope that Nokia and HMD Global keep on releasing more such phenomenal updates to their phones.
