Omerta is an upcoming hindi drama thriller. Directed by Hansal Mehta and Produced by Nahid Khan, Starring Rajkumar Rao, Ravi Khanna, Rupinder Nagra and Rajesh Tailang in crucial role. The movie is build on the life of Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British-Pakistani and most dreaded terrorist of our times.

OMERTA ( meaning, Code of Silence) is an “expertly staged thriller and a gripping study of evil, about a baffling paradox of a real-world man”. Shot in London and India, the movie talks about state-sponsored terrorism, and tells us about Omar’s involvement in some of the most devastating terrorist attacks to have occured in recent history.

The trailer widens with a shot of daydreaming Rajkumar Rao and a voice over that warns him for being carried away by his emotions. This is followed by a short clip of him travelling around the world, disguising him under a false name and edging his body into weapon, making entangled phone calls, working to make himself physically fit and disguising himself under the name of Rohit Verma in front of the police. The trailer portrayed some of the most gruesome terror attacks in the recent history including, 9/11 World Trade Centre attack, 1994 Delhi kidnappings, 26/11 Mumbai terror strikes and brutal beheading of American Journalist “Daniel Pearl”. The trailer then ends with someone asking Rao,”Who are you,” to which he replies, “I am the saviour.”

Rajkumar Rao’s scary yet brilliant performance as a terrorist will surely make you excited to watch the movie.

Trailer left us with lots of inquisitiveness and goosebumps as we got an impression of the twisted, frightening tale of a terrorist, with terror tactics going far beyond our regular thinking, so it promises to be thrilling and mind-numbing.

“Omerta is among the most researched films that I have worked on till date. We actually visited some of the places frequented by Omar in London during his transformation from an LSE graduation student to becoming this deadly terrorist. I needed to feel and touch this man’s past – to ingest him. It was not an easy journey for me to take. With Omerta and Hansal Sir, we have a combination that will probably leave you stunned. There will be this moment of shock and silence as the end credits roll,” said Rajkummar Rao at the Omerta trailer launch.

The film is all set to hit the theaters on April 20th, 2018.
