OnePlus 3/3T receives OxygenOS 5.0.4 Update, Oneplus 3t Android oreo update
The recently launched device form OnePlus the Oneplus 6 will be in news and won’t stop receiving the security updates and other fixes. However, the company hasn’t forsaken its older devices – the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T launched back in 2016. A new update has been aired that brings the latest security patch and some other device improvements.
The update is dubbed as OxygenOS 5.0.4 and brings in July’s security patch. However, an official from OnePlus on says an error in updating a string in settings under security patch causes it to incorrectly show as June.
The update with it brings a lot of minor improvements but the major ones are for the camera quality especially for the front camera and fixes the ISO levels kindred with 3rd party camera apps. It also fixes a parallel Whatsapp crash issue and camera zoom-in issues for Snapchat. The update is less than 100MB in size and has already started hitting some devices. If you haven’t received it yet, it will arrive in the next few days.
For the owners of both the devices, this update might not seem enormous as they are eagerly waiting for the Android 8.1 Oreo update. But there is good news.
Another staff on the forum has asserted that this won’t be the last update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. He also admitted that users of both the devices are “eagerly waiting for some big changes” but will have to be patient.
The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have already received two major OS updates. However, they are still in pipeline of the Oneplus to get more updates at least for a year or so.
