Oppo F7 launched in India on Monday, at an event held in Mumbai. The smartphone follows the modern trend of featuring a notch on the top of the display with components like the front camera, earpiece, and proximity sensor embedded into that. Oppo F7 includes 6.23-inch Full-Screen 2.0 display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, and is touted as selfie-centric smartphone with insane 25-megapixel front camera.
Oppo F7 specifications:
The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo F7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo UI ColorOS 5.0. The smartphone features a 6.23-inch full-HD+ with a resolution of (1080×2280 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core SoC coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB) with its own dedicated card slot.
As per the Connectivity options, the Oppo F7 include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS. It has all major sensors which include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor (on the rear side), and supports a ‘facial unlock’ feature.The Oppo F7 is backed up with 3400mAh battery and it measures 156×75.3×7.8mm, and weighs 158 grams.
The Oppo F7 Cameras:
It has a single 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and AI scene recognition features, and on the front, there is a 25-megapixel camera (Sony IMX576 sensor) with an f/2.0 aperture and real-time HDR capabilities. The smartphone is being marketed by the AI Beauty 2.0 app which scans 296 facial recognition points – a 20 percent improvement from the 1st Gen. technology, as per the company says, allowing for more accurate and fast facial recognition capabilities. The company also says that app can now detect a person’s age, gender, skin color, and skin type differences for up to four individual subjects in much greater detail.
Oppo F7 Price:
The Oppo F7 in India is priced at Rs. 21,990, and it will be available to buy via both online and offline stores starting from April 9. The color options include Solar Red and Moonlight Silver. The company has also launched special edition variants, namely the Oppo F7 Diamond Black and Oppo F7 Sunrise Red, which feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage and have been priced at Rs. 26,990. The special edition variants will only be available via selected Oppo stores.
