Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Tom Holland is either a master troll or he is in big trouble. The actor recently appeared on Instagram with a video apologizing to the fans for having no big announcements for his future Marvel projects. As he was appearing in the ACE Comic Con in Seattle this weekend, fans were expecting some big announcements, but with Marvel keeping everything under wraps, actor apologized to the fans just because he didn’t have any news for fans. While apologizing, Tom Holland held up his iPad with the script of his next Spider-Man film, he gave away the film’s title.
Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel Title is ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’
If Tom Holland isn’t a master troll, the fans have every reason to believe that the title of the next Spiderman film is Spider-Man: Far from Home. In the video, Holland has his own doubts about the movie after Spiderman dying in his mentor’s hands on Titan. If the Spiderman is really dead, there will be much chaos in the MCU with a title like Spider-Man: Far from Home.
After this happened the actor showed up in the Comic-con in Seattle where he did a Q&A with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie. Kevin Smith brought up the video in the talks and the actor’s smile to the whole incident made this clear that he isn’t in any kind of danger from the Marvel Studios. It could very well be the case that this was whole company’s plan and with fans getting restless about the Avengers 4 and Marvel trying to keep everything under wraps, this may be some kind of plot to get fans’ attention away from the Avengers 4.
After the Spider-Man: Homecoming we know that our friendly neighbourhood Spidey will no more be in the neighbourhood and he’ll be travelling around the globe. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed this back in April that the Spiderman’s character will be shot out of New York, in London. “We start filming in early July, We film in London. We shot the first film in Atlanta. And we shoot a lot of films in London but there’s another reason we’re shooting in London which is, yes, Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe.” Feige said.
Homecoming sequel, Spider-Man: Far from Home will also kick off the Marvel’s next phase of the MCU, which the Russo brothers have said that they won’t follow a linear timeline like we have seen up till now. “Here’s the thing, I think it’s important to remember anything is possible in the MCU [Marvel Cinematic Universe],” Anthony Russo said. “Just because there’s a sequel on the books doesn’t mean … people become accustomed to time moving linearly in the MCU. That doesn’t necessarily have to be the case. There’s a lot of very inventive ways of where the story can go from here”.
