Super Smash Bros Ultimate has been a massive success for Nintendo. Data miners have uncovered sixteen character slots which hint that more DLC fighters are coming to the game.
Piranha Plant was the first character added to the game in February, post-game launch.

As per the leaked data mined details, there were a total of 16 slots for characters during game adventure mode World of Light. One of the slots has been filled up by Piranha plant and the remaining 15 were dummy slots.

It has already been confirmed that five more DLC characters are on the way with the Fighter Pass, and next in the line is Joker from Persona 5.
So, if we will take into account all the dummy slots, it means ten more DLC characters will be added to the game.
But these are just data mined reports so can’t be authenticated 100%. But if we will believe this data mined report, we are going to have ten new DLC characters.
