Warner Brothers released the trailer for their action adventure movie The Meg starring Jason Statham in the titular role. Directed by Jon Turteltaub is known for his work on National Treasure(2004). The story follows the incident where a navy Captain played by Jason Statham who is put in face to face against the largest shark known to humanity. The movie will be out an out action flick, and from the trailer, it looks like just another monster movie where everything rests on the hero’s shoulders.

Trailer for The Meg opens with a scene showing an underwater lab and a small girl playing with her ball. Soon the intensity is increased, and we are introduced to the mammoth villain of the story. As shark attacks the glass dome with her sharp teeth, we are confirmed that this movie will be a Thrilling ride no matter how simple the story be. The trailer progresses we get the glimpse of giant squid monster who tries to eat the whole submarine. Soon, Squid is killed by an even more gigantic shark, and we get the glimpse of Megalodon, a shark fossil which got extinct 2 million years ago. The scientist is shaken by this discovery, and Jason Statham is tasked to save the people from the monstrosity. During thrilling action sequences, comedy is sprinkled over the top of it.

After viewing the trailer, we are assured that from the story’s perspective it will not have much to offer however it will be interesting to watch how this standard plot is brought to life. For all those who plan to watch this movie in the theaters don’t expect much from it as it will be just another cheesy movie with lots of action without any story behind it. However, our assumptions regarding the film might be wholly wrong, and the movie came to be out n out action movie mixed with right elements of fun.
