The launch of iPhone X turned the eyes of the entire tech community to the power of Face Unlock. Soon, as the trend goes, every smartphone manufacturer started placing its own version of Face Unlock on their devices. And now it has finally trickled down to budget devices. So here’s a list of 5 devices with Face Unlock under 10000 INR (Note that the list is NOT ranked)
LG Q6 (starts at 8999 INR)
LG Q6 was announced last year with a price tag of 14999 INR, but has since then, come down to 8999 INR. It has a 5.5 inch IPS FULL HD+ panel with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It has an aluminum frame with a plastic body. The Q6 has a Snapdragon 435 SoC, up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 64 GB of storage. It also supports an SD card slot. LG Q6 has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera with Face Unlock technology. It ships with Android 7.1 Nougat
LG Q6 is a great option as it comes from a renown company. If you can look past the average processor and front camera and the lack of a fingerprint sensor, it is a pretty great phone for the price.
Huawei Honor 7C (starts at 9999 INR)
At the second number on our list is the Honor 7C. Recently launched, the phone received great inputs from tech reviewers and is touted as one of the best budget phones. It has a 5.99 inch HD+ display (1440x720p) with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone has an up-to-date Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with up to 4 GB of ram and 64 GB of storage. Honor 7C also has a Dual Rear camera setup (13 MP + 2 MP). It has a sharp 8 MP front camera with Face Unlock technology. The device comes with Android 8.0 out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0.
The device has a fingerprint sensor for a hassle-free experience. Overall it is a pretty nice phone, although the screen is a bit of a downer. Go for it if you prefer camera performance and fingerprint sensor over a nicer screen.
Oppo RealMe 1 (starts at 8990 INR)
RealMe 1 was one of the biggest game-changer in the history of budget smartphones. It checks all boxes while keeping a low price. Oppo RealMe 1 has an FHD+ 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen. It has a beautiful back design covered in glass. The phone comes up to a whopping 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. It has a single 13 MP rear shooter and an 8 MP selfie camera with Face Unlock support. The RealMe 1 has an AI processor for smarter phone management.
The Oppo RealMe 1 is one of the best phones with face unlock under 10000 INR, except for the lack of a fingerprint scanner. To cover for that, it has a pretty decent Face Unlock tech. We highly recommend it.
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 ( starts at 9999 INR)
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is Xiaomi’s recently launched budget device. Its major highlight is the 16 MP front-facing camera with Face Unlock and AI selfie feature. Redmi Y2 also has dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 625 and a 5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 Full-Screen Display. The phone comes with 3080 mAh battery with a sleek metallic design.
Like the RealMe 1 it has everything going on for it. Although the screen could’ve had been a bit better. Highly recommended.
Huawei Honor 9 Lite ( starts at 10999 INR )
A little over our maximum budget, the Huawei Honor 9 Lite is a great phone if you can spare a little bit more. It has all the good qualities of the above smartphones: An AI processor, Dual Rear AND Front cameras, Fingerprint scanner AND Face Unlock, a 5.65-inch FHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It also comes in a very stylish metallic blue color that adds so much to its premium looks.
The phone is the best in its price segment and is highly recommended by us if you can shell out another thousand Rupees.
